The year left with a “hello” and a “goodbye”. A few words in between that demonstrated a special kind of connection. There was no need to say “I understand”, “I know”, “I care”. She could not know what her idol felt or knew. She could just imagine it, by recognizing her own feelings, while she was looking in the mirror. She saw a part of herself that she had ignored for so long. Different, special, rebellious.

The new year entered her space by unhinging the door and letting it fall on the skin of the earth with an exceptionally loud and long bang.

She felt that strong sense of urgency. “Do not let energy go to waste. Not anymore!” she thought.

Gifted a temporary sanctuary where she could create, she put her sign next to that door that begun sinking into the earth’s ending and beginning, as if it wanted to engage with lava and burn, turning into ashes. Just to rise the very next moment like that legendary phoenix spreading those mighty wings many could only dream of.

To the gentle and generous sponsor she could not give anything but love and a “Thank You” in return. Silent. Like in an orthodox monastery.

She said “Thank You”, she became fluid, and then nebulous. She expanded. She felt an aura carrying her away. She entered the mirror.

“There is a thin line between tactfulness and misconception. It could burst and turn into an inferno. Let it live. It carries a dream. A dream like a sanctuary”, she said to her alter ego. “This year I wll lay the foundation to that dream. So it can manifest and heal.” This was all she could say while facing the other side of the line.

Then she shrunk again to her original size. The one humans could perceive with the uneducated eye.

Now looking into the mirror she noticed tears wind their way down her chin, then evaporating, turning into clouds.

“Anything you experience, I can feel. Don’t close your eyes. I want to see. Tell the truth. Always. And I will make the Green grow for you. This is my promise to you, my love”, she said to the one who was part of her. The siginificant, inspiring, restless part of her.

She did not know how. She did not know how good. She did not know how fast.

The only thing she knew was that she would.

She said goodbye by echoing his words. Then she welcomed the new year. She proposed.

The year agreed. “365 days I will be on your side. Carry on!”

Enter the space.
